Review:
When asked about RPG's one game sticks to mind. Final Fantasy (I know, some of you might not agree, but c'mon!). Well, this is a totally different game, but some elements may be familiar, pretty much common on all RPG's.
Been playing this for a while now, and boy do I find this game worthwhile, not great but definitely worth your while.
Graphics are good, better than some PSP games out on the market, for a device smaller and handier. I'm playing it on an Ipod Touch 4th gen and the Retina Display sure does give it justice.
Playablity is good, not a grinder compared to other games in the same genre. Leveling is fast. Attributes are off the chain, my characters already dish out 9999 damage at level 25. Enemy damage is mediocre, I don't remember dying while playing. Story is pretty much the same as other RPGs, nothing special (there's even a cheesy lovestory that comes out of the blue.) Music and voice acting are good though.
There's a shortage on rare equipments as well and you'll just get those by defeating bosses (which is fairly easy) and not from farming and/or hunting. Most of the time you'll be buying equipment on the merchant in towns.
Skills are a plus on this game since you can customize how to build your character whether he's the main attacker, a supporter, or maybe a hybrid of both. The builds is limited by your imagination.
Okay, so far, it seems like a mediocre game, well in a way it is, but what separates it from others is its portability, It's a RPG game on the go, the story is not that amazing to focus on, so you can just hunt monsters till you're tired or your Iphone runs out of juice.
VERDICT:
For a $4.99 game, I'll give it a 3 out of 5, a fair score. Kinda expensive but can be worthwhile if you're a RPG junkie like me.
*Just try to get it during a promo so you can save a lot of bucks as well as some disappointment when you don't like the game.
